  • Developed unified and flexible CAD standards to untangle a decade of bad habits and inaccurate line-work, while maintaining or improving established and accepted processes. A unified standard increased training efficacy and consistency in product development, while its flexibility allowed for efficient maintenance of master documents and fast paced schedule for the creation of field deliverables for production oriented builds to custom homes.
  • Maintained distinct libraries of plans across 6 divisions and multiple states.
  • Revitalized the design standards across Homestead Homes Division intended for Auburn and Opelika market. Designed functional plans with distinct elevation options, market driven options as well as customizations. Identified viable customization requests and integrated them into the master documents as reproducible options.
  • Expanded design revitalizations and CAD standards to the Grayhawk Homes plan library, improving the product delivered to market.
  • Customized designs on a lot specific basis to negotiate community standards of various Architectural Review Boards as well as challenging lot conditions, adhering or adding to a library of design components; bridging between production and custom building.
  • Compiled data from jurisdictional sources, Building Code, professionals, market data and expectations as well as field personnel and management to provide recommendations and design solutions for challenging lot conditions and new products.
  • Worked with construction supervisors, field personnel and management to identify design and/or document deficiencies to provide as clear, concise and accurate documentation and detailing.
  • Drafted site plans using plat data, input from surveyors and civil engineers to limit surprises at permitting or construction. Visited field as needed to walk lots and engage with area managers, field personnel, graders and management as part of data gathering process. Staked house corners as conditions allowed, providing visual assistance on lot determinations at a greatly reduced cost.
  • Design and maintenance of multiple townhome products for a variety of markets.
